Do:
  • Sit straight and centered in the camera
  • Maintain eye contact by looking at the webcam, not screen
  • Keep your hands visible in the frame occasionally
  • Use head nods and facial expressions to show attentiveness
Don’t:
  • Slouch or keep webcam too low/high
  • Look distracted (checking phone or multitasking)
  • Keep hand on chin or face all the time
  • Practice online body language using Zoom recordings before the real interview.
AT THE END OF THE INTERVIEW
Do:
  • Say:
    “Thank you for your time, Sir/Madam. It was a pleasure speaking with you.”
  • Smile gently and make eye contact
  • Stand up slowly and confidently
  • Leave the room with calm steps and proper posture
Don’t:
  • Rush out or turn your back too quickly
  • Look disappointed or overly excited
  • Forget to thank them
