Key Responsibilities
1. Merchant Acquisition
- Proactively identify and onboard quality merchants based on a deep understanding of their transaction patterns, business potential, and geographical relevance
- Ensure long-term retention by targeting merchants with sustainable business volume and engaging with them meaningfully from the start
2. Sales & Collection
- Drive the sale of POS devices and related services to merchants by clearly communicating pricing, payment terms, and usage benefits
- Ensure timely rental collection and work on reactivating inactive or dormant merchants through follow-ups and support
3. Infrastructure & Asset Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of devices and collaterals within the assigned area
- Ensure zero loss, theft, or misuse by adhering to process compliance and inventory control protocols
4. Market Share Leadership (Sector-wise Penetration)
- Take full ownership of your assigned territory or merchant segment to saturate the market with PhonePe offerings
- Work towards increasing market presence and dominance through strategic planning and merchant segmentation
5. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key merchants
- Drive adoption of value-added services and solutions that enhance the merchant’s business efficiency and customer experience
6. Competition Mapping
- Actively monitor, map, and report on competitor activity in your territory—by sector, geography, or merchant type
- Provide actionable insights to support timely strategic interventions and competitive positioning
