Key Role/Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Sourcing Function at Apollo Pharmacy, with a focus on new store development, maintenance coordination, and civil project execution. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional business teams, oversee vendor and supplier partnerships, and ensure smooth execution of sourcing activities related to store expansion and maintenance across cities and districts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a sourcing team, ensuring timely reporting of daily updates to the central team.
• Coordinate effectively with internal cross-functional departments and business units to align sourcing objectives with business growth plans.
• Conduct cluster mapping and strategic analysis to identify potential new store locations, especially in underserved markets.
• Collaborate with business teams to shortlist locations in urban and semi-urban areas based on defined business parameters.
• Evaluate new store locations by assessing demographic, geographic, and sociographic factors.
• Negotiate lease terms and rental agreements with landlords/owners, ensuring optimal terms and thorough documentation.
• Validate all site-related documents and oversee the agreement signing process.
• Possess strong knowledge in site measurement and documentation procedures.
• Handle processes related to lease extensions, renewals, and security deposits for existing store locations.

Skills Required

• Proven experience in retail expansion, sourcing, or real estate operations, preferably in a fast-growing organization.
• Strong understanding of store maintenance protocols and location identification processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, including rental benchmarks, space availability, and local geographic dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with landlords and vendors.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a field-intensive, deadline-driven environment.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in retail operations, sourcing, or store development, with a focus on new store openings and maintenance.
• An engineering degree (preferably in Civil or related fields) will be an added advantage, especially for candidates with expertise in site evaluation and infrastructure planning.
