• Job Title: MongoDB Database Administrator
• Location: PAN India (Remote/On-Site Flexibility)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MongoDB Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MongoDB administration, database architecture, performance tuning, and high availability solutions in complex, enterprise-scale environments. This role is critical to maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of our database infrastructure across multi-data center deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Administration & Configuration

1. Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of MongoDB software and related components.
2. Design and manage database storage structures, objects, and sizing for optimal performance.
3. Configure and administer Dockerized MongoDB instances in Linux environments.

• Performance & Monitoring

1. Conduct in-depth performance analysis and troubleshooting using profiling tools, server status metrics, indexes, and host diagnostics.
2. Optimize system performance through memory management, journaling, and concurrency control techniques.

• Security & Compliance

1. Implement enterprise-grade MongoDB security features including auditing, Kerberos integration, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and encryption.
2. Ensure compliance with internal and external data protection standards.

• High Availability & Disaster Recovery

1. Design and implement backup and recovery solutions tailored to application needs.
2. Configure and maintain multi-data center replica sets, sharded clusters, and high-availability MongoDB clusters across Linux and Windows platforms.

• Automation & Ops Management

1. Utilize MongoDB Ops Manager for backup, monitoring, performance tuning, and automation of administrative tasks.
2. Develop and maintain scripts to automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of database clusters.

• Scripting & Development

1. Write and maintain advanced scripts using Shell, Python, or Java for database tasks, process automation, and data manipulation.
2. Expertise in MongoDB CRUD operations, aggregation pipelines, and optimization of complex queries.
