Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Accountant to manage the financial operations at our construction site. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory norms, managing site-level expenses, and providing timely financial reports to the head office. This is a key position that ensures financial discipline, supports project cost control, and enables smooth financial coordination across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily financial records for all site-level transactions.
  • Manage and reconcile petty cash and site-level disbursements.
  • Ensure timely submission of expense reports and accounting documents to the head office.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for invoice processing, payment follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Assist the project team in budget tracking, cost control, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial summaries and reconciliation statements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, and other applicable tax regulations.
  • Support internal audits and facilitate document availability for inspection or compliance checks.
  • Utilize accounting software (such as Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems) for efficient financial tracking.
  • Work closely with the head office to resolve queries, share documentation, and improve processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a construction or project site.
  • Strong understanding of construction project accounting, cost monitoring, and vendor coordination.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, SAP, or ERP platforms.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of taxation and statutory compliance (TDS, GST, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced project environment.
