Job Title: Manager – Proposals and Client Pitches

Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic, detail-driven, and highly collaborative professional to join our team as Manager – Proposals and Client Pitches. This role is critical to driving new business by developing compelling, research-backed proposals and client presentations that showcase our capabilities and align with the unique needs of prospective clients. You will work cross-functionally with senior research leaders, subject matter experts, and commercial teams to position the organization as a trusted thought partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Development & Management
- Lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, including RFP/RFI analysis, win strategy formulation, content creation, quality assurance, and final submission.
- Collaborate with internal experts to craft tailored, client-specific solutions that reflect scientific rigor, feasibility, and innovation.
- Maintain and update a centralized content repository containing case studies, reusable templates, and standardized assets for efficient proposal development.
- Client Pitch Strategy & Execution
- Design high-impact client presentations and pitch decks that effectively articulate value propositions and business alignment.
- Customize content to reflect client priorities, sector trends, and solution relevance, ensuring a persuasive and visually engaging narrative.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Interface with internal teams including Research Directors, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to gather input and approvals.
- Ensure timely delivery of proposals and presentations by managing schedules, setting internal deadlines, and tracking dependencies.
- Market Insight & Strategic Positioning
- Monitor industry trends, client funding cycles, and competitive movements to anticipate client needs and shape proactive pitch strategies.
- Participate in client calls, presentations, and post-submission debriefs to foster relationships and gather valuable feedback.
- Performance Optimization & Process Improvement
- Analyze win/loss data, client feedback, and sales metrics to continuously refine proposal strategies and improve effectiveness.
- Champion best practices in process automation, content standardization, and internal knowledge-sharing for scalable proposal operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in proposal development, business development, or strategic sales support, ideally within a consulting, research, or professional services environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a talent for persuasive, concise storytelling.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities with a track record of handling multiple complex deliverables under tight deadlines.
- Sound understanding of research methodologies, funding environments, and client behavior in professional services is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Familiarity with contracting, compliance, and proposal protocols for government, academic, and corporate clients.
- Exposure to multiple industry verticals such as healthcare, technology, retail, manufacturing, and travel.
- Proficiency in tools like MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), proposal management software, and CRM systems.
- Strategic mindset with a client-first approach, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
