• Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Collection Specialist
• Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred

About the Role

Sutherland is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to manage and support our AR collections process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the AR lifecycle, with hands-on experience in B2B/B2C international collections and a proactive approach to account resolution and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts through emails and phone calls to ensure timely payment collection.
• Maintain up-to-date AR records, ensuring proper application of collections, credit adjustments, and account reconciliations.
• Address and resolve customer disputes in coordination with cross-functional teams including Billing, Finance, Legal, Tax, and Customer Support.
• Monitor and escalate high-risk accounts and unresolved issues to leadership for timely intervention.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth resolution and continuous customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and analyze the daily aging report to assess and strategize the collection portfolio.
• Reconcile complex accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactively identify root causes of non-payment or delays and work towards long-term resolutions.
• Contribute ideas to streamline and improve the AR collection process.
• Meet or exceed monthly productivity and performance targets.
• Provide regular updates and visibility to management on collection trends and issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 2–7 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable and International Collections (B2B/B2C mandatory)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in AR tools and ERP systems
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
