Key Responsibilities

• Code Analysis, Scanning & Remediation

To begin with, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth security assessments by leveraging industry-leading tools such as Snyk, Checkmarx, Coverity, Grit, and Mend.

1. You will proactively analyze application code for vulnerabilities through both static and dynamic testing techniques.
2. Moreover, you will be expected to triage, prioritize, and remediate security issues, while ensuring timely collaboration with development teams.
3. Furthermore, your expertise will be vital in automating the scanning processes and integrating security testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Security Architecture & Design Support

In addition to scanning responsibilities, you will work alongside architects and technical leads to evaluate application architectures from a security standpoint.

1. You’ll recommend secure design patterns and provide context-aware security input during the design and review phases.
2. Simultaneously, your contributions will be key in enhancing threat modeling practices and promoting design-level resilience.

• Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) Coaching

2. Not only will you explore advanced tools and frameworks, but you’ll also champion process optimization and innovation to scale security practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in application security or a related domain.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).
• Proficiency in tools like Snyk, Mend, Checkmarx, Veracode, or similar.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CVEs, and secure coding principles.
• Experience working with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps culture, and cloud-native environments.
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical risks into business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security tools and practices.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, CGA, GDPR.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, agile environment.
