What You’ll Build:

As a core technical contributor, you’ll lead the end-to-end development of the Mend MVP—a voice-first platform designed to help people strengthen their relationships through guided communication and AI support. Your work will span across multiple systems, blending real-time technology, emotional intelligence, and user-friendly design.

You’ll be responsible for building and owning:

• An intuitive onboarding flow, including partner invitations and relationship profiling
• A real-time voice chat system with speaker tracking and AI-powered moderation
• AI-guided prompts designed to ease conflict resolution and enhance emotional communication
• A communication scoring system evaluating empathy, clarity, respect, and more
• Post-conversation features like shared reflections and bonding suggestions
• An insights dashboard showing weekly progress, emotional trends, and growth areas
• A calm, inclusive, and voice-optimized UI/UX that prioritizes accessibility and ease of use

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in iOS app development (using Flutter or native Swift)
• Experience with real-time audio/voice technologies (e.g., WebRTC, Agora, Twilio Voice)
• Familiarity with AI/LLM integration for voice and text (e.g., OpenAI Whisper, GPT APIs)
• Basic Natural Language Processing (NLP) skills including sentiment analysis, emotion detection, and intent parsing
• Backend development skills for managing voice/chat sessions and storing user data (Firebase, Supabase, Node.js, etc.)
• Frontend development experience with audio visualizers, speaker indicators, and scoring dashboards
• Strong understanding of privacy, encryption, and user safety, especially for sensitive emotional content
