Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
• Accurately record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions such as sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
• Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice tracking and vendor/client communication.
• Process payroll for clients using platforms such as ADP, Gusto, or Wagepoint.
• Assist in payroll tax filing and reporting across the US and Canada.
• Handle sales tax/GST/HST filings in compliance with relevant state and provincial regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation.
• Professionally communicate with internal team leads and respond to client queries promptly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in US/Canadian bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of payroll processing platforms (ADP, Gusto, Wagepoint) and payroll tax filings for the US and Canada.
• Experience with multi-state sales tax (US) and GST/HST compliance (Canada).
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles, account reconciliations, and month-end procedures.
• Strong English communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high accuracy under pressure.
• Willingness to work during evening/night shifts aligned with North American clients.
