Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Maintenance & Optimization

• Maintain and enhance Goalkeep’s internal technology infrastructure
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance for internal and client projects
• Use best practices to reduce infrastructure and SQL query costs
• Track and analyze infrastructure spending; identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

Internal Tech Enablement & Support

• Provide tech setup and troubleshooting support to internal teams to ensure smooth client project delivery
• Maintain an organized tracker of all tech subscriptions and software licenses
• Assist with onboarding new team members into Goalkeep systems and tools

What We’re Looking For

• Hard Skills

1. Strong experience with data modeling and database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server)
2. Proficiency in installing and maintaining software on Linux-based systems
3. Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
4. Ability to troubleshoot using system logs and performance indicators
5. Understanding of data engineering concepts including writing optimized SQL queries and pipeline design

• Soft Skills & Mindsets

1. A curious, problem-solving mindset with accountability in addressing system issues
2. Proactive and disciplined approach to monitoring and maintaining infrastructure
3. Team-oriented with a willingness to support internal functions for greater impact

• Must-Know Tools

1. Linux Command Line
2. SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or IT infrastructure roles
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field
